Frequently Asked Questions

Is experience required?

No experience is required. We love sharing the joy of paddling with beginners! We teach you how to paddle and we’ll provide tips along the way if needed.

Are there any age requirements?

No age requirements at all. We recommend children under 12 years of age paddle in a tandem kayak with an adult.

What should I bring?

Plenty of water, a snack, sunscreen, a towel for after the tour, and shoes and clothing you don’t mind getting wet. You may also want to consider a hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, a rain jacket if it might rain, and a dry bag.

What about gratuity?

Our guides do accept and greatly appreciate tips!

Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring your pet. Pets are welcome on private tours only. Dogs must be kept on a leash and you should clean up after your pet.

We paddle in the rain and wind. If it’s raining hard or you’re uncomfortable with the conditions, you can reschedule for another time or day.

What is the cancellation policy?

All cancellations must be made at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled tour. We do paddle in the rain and wind but not during thunderstorms.
