With an impressive list of 365 species of reported bird sightings along Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge, there is a high probability that you may see your favorite bird up close and personal. Some of the common birds that can potentially be seen as you explore the waters of Pea Island are the Brown Pelican, Royal Tern, American Avocet, heron, egret, and the gorgeous white Ibis.
