Wendy grew up on a farm and fell in love with paddling when she was a child. She has competed in multiple ultra marathon paddle races and is a former rower with St Louis Rowing Club. She majored in accounting in college and left her previous career in banking so she could spend more time outside doing what she loves. In the winter Wendy is a ski instructor in western North Carolina and volunteers at the food bank. When she’s not on the water or the slopes Wendy enjoys spending time with her family which includes 3 dogs: Reese, Rockie, and Riley.
Rudy learned to kayak in his youth when he was in the boy scouts. He then went on to complete the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) twice while he was in high school. He graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with bachelors degrees in psychology and physiology prior to training with the USRowing High Performance team in the hopes of winning a seat on the US Men’s Lightweight National team. Rudy recently completed his masters degree in sports management. During the school year Rudy is a rowing coach with Asheville Youth Rowing Association. His other hobbies include bicycling, surfing, and anything that doesn’t involve sitting behind a desk.
Caleb is currently enrolled in the College of the Albemarle where he’s pursuing his degree. After school Caleb plans to join the military. His hobbies are anything to do with the outdoors including fly-fishing, fly-tying, camping, backpacking, and surfing.
